Abstract

This project takes a look at the current media climate and its inclusivity and representation of the Latinx and LGBTQ+ community. Specifically, I explore these themes as they are present in the Netflix Original Series One Day at a Time, focusing on the intersection of Latinx, women's, and LGBTQ+ topics. Marginalized communities have found a voice in positive representation such as this, and shows like One Day at a Time work to fight stigma and stereotypes alike.
